Important Notice: SCX Regulatory Advisory & Mother Vessel Renaming

Dear Valued Sun Chief Customer,

Please be aware of the two Sun Chief Express service updates below.

SCX Regulatory Advisory: 

We are pleased to inform you that vessels in the Sun Chief Express service are not subject to any U.S. destination port tariffs and will remain tariff-free under current regulatory policy.

The entire Sun Chief and UWL staff, both here and at origin, along with our vessel operating partner ESL, sincerely appreciate your patience as we transitioned to these new vessels. This transition is now complete, and we look forward to maintaining our highly regarded, expedited service and schedule integrity.

Mother Vessel Renaming:

As previously announced, the M/V Lae Chief, which officially joined the Sun Chief Express service, has now been renamed the ESL Seattle. Online schedules will be updated accordingly for all future sailings.
